About Andrea Maniscalco

Andrea Maniscalco is a Milan-based political science student and communications professional working within Lombardy’s regional institutions.

Born in 2003, he is completing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Milan, expected in March 2027. He has been elected and re-elected as a student representative in the Department of International, Legal and Historical-Political Studies.

Since 2024, he has worked at the Regional Council of Lombardy as a Public Affairs & Institutional Communications Officer, supporting Regional Councillor Giulio Gallera. His work spans legislative proposals, policy documents, press relations and institutional communication, first for the Special Commission on Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and currently for the Special Commission on Health and Workplace Safety.

His political and civic activity spans Forza Italia, Forza Italia Giovani and Istituto Liberale, with responsibilities in regional communication, university policy and foreign affairs. He is also a member of MSOI–UNYA Italy and takes part in programmes on diplomacy and multilateral institutions.

In 2026, he was admitted to the Hoover Institution Summer Policy Boot Camp at Stanford University. His international experience also includes SPIMUN at Sciences Po Paris, Galt’s Gulch conferences in Austin and San Diego, and LevelUp conferences in Phoenix, Atlanta and Sofia.

A classical liberal, Europeanist and Atlanticist, he is interested in the defence of liberal democracies, economic freedom, institutional responsibility and the relationship between Europe and the United States.
